Worked well for my application to replace an exterior threshold (with step down) after an addition to the house. Loved the wood grain and it took stain very well, besides being straight and a true 36 inches. But when the sticky paper tag was removed, I noted flaws in the surface. It was too late to turn back. Sanding and staining helped mask the flaws, along with the T-mold. If no flaws requiring extra work, would be a 5. If had to do over, I would have opened at store (with their permission)--who knew.

Packaging Faux Pas
The product was marred by the glue used to apply the label; glue could not be removed with acetone. And shrink wrap is totally unnecessary and annoying to remove. The color of the wood is light but took a nice finish with Old English scratch cover Overall, it's a good product.
