We all have our own unique career development journey. How can you figure out which path is the one for you? 🤔 The career coaches at the Strayer Career Center are here to help all students and alumni, from the day you begin class to long after you graduate. What to expect:✅All appointments are held over Zoom. Not feeling ready for your close-up? No problem: video isn't required.✅The career coach will ask you a few questions about your education, career and goals to be sure your session is tailored to you. ✅Ongoing support? We’ve got it. Sessions are available at no additional cost to students and grads for as long as they need. What not to expect:❌Coaches don’t provide you with an exact list of employers or openings, but they can provide you with resources and job boards. ❌They don’t write your resume, CV or cover letter for you. Instead coaches provide you with insight, feedback and resources, to empower your job search.Career coaches are experts in career planning and development process, but most importantly, they’re here to help guide your career path effectively.

Strayer alum Dexter Parham lived by the mantra "Finish strong – and give each and every assignment 100%" as he worked toward his degree with honors. He had the full support of faculty every step of the way. As he put it, "they were dedicated, flexible and had a fierce commitment to each and every student's success.”

Prepare to feel inspired! This clip is from last year's first-gen college student celebration. Listen in as alum Krystal Powell shares what advice she'd offer to first-generation students as they navigate their journey. This annual event brings together students, alumni and faculty to share stories, connect and build support networks. Keep an eye out later in the year for our plans to celebrate in 2024. đź‘€
